OBOS Nye Hjem AS is developing housing at Furuset Village in Oslo: 74 homes across three new buildings (A, B and C) plus a shared house.
−02Geoteknia’s role
Geoteknia is engaged as geotechnical consultant by design-build contractor Backe Stor-Oslo AS. Foundations were optimised together with the structural engineer.
−03Technical challenges
Alternatives were assessed with strong weight on CO₂ footprint. The buildings use shallow foundations on in-situ soils; excavations combine open cuts with internally braced pipe-pile walls.
